The Shopping Night
The Shopping Night. Yesterday it started again, in its sixth edition!
This year, the main theme of the Shopping Night revolved around the work of the English playwright: William Shakespeare, to mark the 400th anniversary of his death. The Shopping Night gave a nice twist to Hamlet’s famous line:” To be or not to be”, namely: “To shop or not top shop”.
The stores were opened at 20:00 and were open until 1:00 in the morning. The aim was not just commercial, but also to celebrate his pre-Christmas party and invite the locals to embrace the luxury ride. Specifically, eight sections of the Paseo de Gracia were filled with different works of Shakespeare.
For the occasion black colored tents were mounted with a red carpet. The tents were all prepared for house pets. They were looking for a new Romeo and Juliet; the dogs were posing and making funny pictures at the photo call.
